First off, welcome to BoxedTofu. I’m using this domain as a place to do all my “personal” blogging. It feels like I’ve finally come full circle. I remember back in the days when everyone was doing personal blogs, then people transitioned to topic-based blogs, and now, here I am again, doing a personal blog. It should be fun, though. I’ve got a folder full of things I’ve wanted to write about, but never could, so that’s what BoxedTofu will be for.

I thought I’d use this opportunity to tell you five facts about myself. I was technically supposed to do this several months ago, when I got tagged on Youtube. Both of my channels were tagged several times, but I never got around to doing it. It seems like the perfect introduction to a personal blog, so here, without further adieu, are my five facts.
Fact 1: I play the violin
I’ve played the violin since I was in fourth grade, just like every good Asian child (though in all reality my mom was very nice about not forcing me to play anything, if I didn’t want). I’m actually a really bad violinist. If you can imagine this, I’m probably like the Ashley Simpson of violinists…really bad, yeah? I was really good at chromatic scales for some reason though. No idea how that worked out.
Fact 2: I’ve beaten a Korean in Starcraft
If any of you have played Starcraft on Battle.net, you’ll know that this is a great achievement. I like to think I’m a really good Starcraft player. I probably spent all the time I was supposed to be practicing the violin practicing Starcraft instead. When playing against Americans, I probably have an above .500 record. Playing against Koreans, though, I am approximately 1-20. There was one time that I beat a Korean in Starcraft. It was a one on one. He had me pinned down for most of the game, and he was about to break through. At this point, I brought 5-6 dropships full of marines, firebats, and medics and droped them into his base. Probably my proudest moment ever. I’ll be telling my kids and grandkids about this.
Still, my friends like to ruin this moment by telling me how the Korean I beat probably didn’t have hands and was four years old. I beg to differ. That sort of skill level was that of a krippled six year old Korean…at least! Okay, maybe five and a half.
Fact 3: I’m in a fraternity
Well, I’m an alumni of a fraternity, but technically I’m still in it. Really not as scary as it sounds. As long as you pick the right one, it can be a very positive experience. Same goes for sororities, I imagine. I’d encourage you to check one out, if you get the chance. Don’t buy into the animal house stereotype…at least 50% of the time. If you’re interested, the fraternity I’m in is Beta Theta Pi. Beta’s image isn’t great on every campus, though the general fraternity is doing a good job cleaning bad apples up. The one at my school was kind of the academic-ish fraternity on campus, though we certainly knew how to have fun as well.
Fact 4: My head is too big for hats
I’m a guy that really loves hats. I’ve got a thing for them. You could even say that I have myself a little hat collection. The unfortunate thing, though, is that my head is too big. 99% of hats that I come across (and like) don’t fit me. I need to find a “Big & Tall” hat store or something. Even some of the hats that I own don’t fit me. Who knows, maybe I like hats because I can’t have them. I’m sure a psychologist would know that kind of thing. The worst part, though, is that my girlfriend won’t let me wear her hats because I stretch them out, and she has some really sweet hats, which makes me a sad dude. If I could do any type of plastic surgery, I’d have them do a skull and brain reduction surgery. Then at least I would be able to wear hats, even if I was a little bit off afterwards.
Fact 5: I invented Sponge Bob
No Joke. You think I’m joking. But I’m not. That’s why this section is called “five facts” and not “five lies.” I have an entire fifth grade class that can back me up. When in fifth grade, I created a character called “Sponge Bob” (granted, he lacked square pants). I was so obsessed with this character (that I made up) that I created a live action version of him - a square sponge with eyes, a mouth, and legs/arms. People even called me Sponge Bob as a nickname (this is how crazy I was about it). Then, a couple of years later, Nickelodeon comes out with the same thing! To make myself feel better, I say “pshh, a ridiculous idea like this will never pan out…” Sadly, I’m sure you’ve seen how successful it is today. Sponge Bob should have been me, and don’t you ever forget that.
There you have it, my five facts. I thought of a bunch more, but they were so interesting I thought I’d just make entire posts and videos about them. I really hope you enjoy my personal blog. I don’t think I have too many interesting things to say, though I’m going to try my best to stradle the line between entertainment blog and personal blog. Otherwise, it’s just a place for me to talk about all the ‘uncategorized’ things I can’t bring up over at tofugu and koichiben, since those are “topic” blogs. Anyways, I’ve been writing this introduction post for several months now, changing this and that, so here’s to more efficiency in the future! *clink*

Loved the background music though. I had to pause the video to make sure it wasn't coming from somewhere else.
And man...spongebob? From now on, get everything patented, it could be gold!

At my campus we were the kids that got involved in student government, hung out at the library, started clubs, and played WoW (not me, though, haha). We were definitely the nerdy bunch. We didn't even allow alcohol in the house (and surprisingly enforced it).
It's funny how different houses can be even though they are the same fraternity. I noticed that at one of the leadership conferences they sent us to.

But don't worry, you're fine Koichi, you're the only one who can rock the Panda Hat.

so how do u think anyone else could have got this idea? do u think it was stolen somehow or
coincidence?
are all the characters on the series accurate with your own idea of what they would be like or did u just have the idea of spongebob himself?

I will NEVER take my small head for granted again! However, it is nice to know that someone else besides me has a thing for hats! (...my hat collection is about the same size as my shoe collection...)

Go Starcraft! Ah... I've been playing that since I was about... 12. haha. Zergs are my favorite... just because I'm a little creepy like that. I've never actually done the online stuff though, just the campaigns.
